Press Release Summary: Nightmares and religion gone awry - it\'s all in SHELTERED
DELIVERANCE. This book recounts a chilling story of a pastor whose spiritual
foundation is rooted in sexual and physical assault.

Press Release Body: Polygamist sect leader Warren Jeffs has been convicted of being
an accomplice to rape for arranging a marriage between a 14 year old and her older
cousin. Bishop Earl Paulk, Sr. after being accused of sexually assaulting a former
music leader in his congregation recently admits to an illicit affair which resulted
in the birth of a son, who for years the church had known as his nephew. Former
Rice Lake pastor Angel Toro charged with molesting 17 year old boy. The headlines
scream the horrific truth of sex, assault and faith. So, what happens when you
discover a revered pastor is at the head of one of the largest and most active
systems of sexual and physical abuse? For reporter, Crystal Houston - the answer was
to find out as much as she could. At the end of the story, however, Crystal may end
up losing her life.

E. Claudette Freeman\'s new book SHELTERED DELIVERANCE (AuthorHouse Publishing) tells
a chilling story of sex, beatings and fraud all under the guise of religion. A
master storyteller, Freeman pulls you in with warm reflections of life and a
passionate and envious story of romance. Once she has your attention, she smoothly
leads you into the demented worship practices of a pastor whose fathered a large
part of his flock - fiction ripped from the headlines ring in this author's first
full-length novel.

Freeman says, \"I really like this story. Initially it is something that I did not
want to write. The story was laid in my lap and then the person that put it there -
abandoned it. Yet here was these fascinating tale of a Black cult - which is
something we don\'t hear a lot about.\"
The award-winning playwright went on to say, \"the thing that I think is most
frightening about this story is that with all of the rape and assault being
committed by this pastor, people stayed and believed him. It happens ... Jim Jones,
David Koresh, Yahweh Ben Yahweh.\"

SHELTERED DELIVERANCE is already opening old wounds for some, Barbara Howard, a
Miami Public Relations professional was taken aback by the book. \"There was no way
Claudette could have known my personal story, how my children were involved with
this horrible, horrible man. Yet every pain and emotion I felt trying to have a
relationship with and rescue my children - she managed to uncover in this book. I
have never read a book cover to cover before I put it down. She got me.\"

Brenda Jackson, a member of the Literary Escapades Book Club agrees, \"Claudette - oh
my God - has written a book that you just can not put down until you finish it. You
fall in love with Anthony, you get pissed off with Crystal, you want to kill this
pastor. The range of emotions is crazy and you don\'t even realize she\'s changed that
range until you\'re in the moment.\"

Originally released in 2005 in a soft fashion, Freeman and AuthorHouse Publishing
have decided to re-introduce the book full steam ahead. Freeman says potential
readers and book clubs shouldn\'t let the church theme fool you. \"It is based on true
stories, it is based in the church - definitely - but it is an awesome story of not
accepting an abusive relationship of any kind. In this case your very soul depends
on your escape.\"

Many may find it ironic that Freeman would write a tale that clearly questions
pastoral control of their members - until recently she was not only the Station
Manager of a gospel station in the Miami/ Fort Lauderdale market, but head of her
church's drama ministry. \"I just tell people this is not the pastor that I worked
for. The guy in the book is a fictional character.\"
